World's biggest restaurant at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing

At the Olympic Games in Athens 2004, RÖDER Zelt- und Veranstaltungsservice GmbH had already provided more than 500 tents totalling well over 30,000m² of roofed area.

RÖDER was delivered a total of 40,000m² of tents to Beijing. The material for the big tents comes from the factory in Büdingen, the small tents from the branch in Shanghai. The biggest tent ensemble (100x185m) with a capacity of approximately 16,000 seats will serve as a restaurant for the athletes and officials in the Olympic Village. This world's biggest restaurant covering a ground area of 18,500m² has already been inaugurated this April.

All the tent structures will also be used for the Paralympic Games that will be taking place from September 6-17, 2008.
