RÖDER Tent for the disposal of slightly radioactive waste in Spain
RÖDER constructed the first landfill cover for slightly radioactive waste in southern Spain
Together with the Spanish nuclear authorities, a concept for the storage of slightly radioactive waste was developed.
The approximately 6000 m² halls were moved based on the installation section and can have their height and width adjusted to meet local conditions.
The most important aspect of the design is that the waste does not come into contact with water. Therefore the surface water is collected in a cistern and specially treated, before it can be released again. The tent design uses Geotextiles, which serve as a floor sealant, so that no water can enter into the structure from outside.

Custom tent designs unique for the customer of 25m x 120m x SH10m and 20m x 115m x SH10m were used.
