The tent cover with RÖDER premium sliding keder
The very high quality of the RÖDER tent covers has been improved even further. Top brand PES yarns were employed. Using these fabrics made from yarns with low wick effect, a new cover material with unique characteristics was developed – RÖDER No.1.
This puts an end to early fungus infestation leading to unattractive discolouration of the fabric. The penetration of water, dirt and microbes is also reliably prevented.
RÖDER No.1 can cope even with very rigorous demands.
Another reason why the RÖDER No.1 covers stay in an excellent general condition for so long is the use of a PVDF coating. Because of this lacquer finish, the cover can repel water and dirt more easily. In addition, the scratch-resistance of the surface is considerably improved. Thus the number of cleaning cycles of the cover can be minimized.
The strip test shows the result after 5 hours of immersion in an aqueous methylene blue solution. The RÖDER No.1 sample absorbs considerably less water due to the reduced wick effect.
In the soiling test, both samples were first soiled with graphite and then heated to 180°C in a furnace. After cooling down, the graphite was rubbed off. The sample with PVDF coating shows that the repellent properties were considerably improved. The fabric is significantly cleaner.
The cover is flame-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102, B1.
RÖDER premium sliding keder
The use of flame-retardant keder coated on both sides adds extra protection to the fabric structure in the keder area and further improves abrasion resistance during the insertion and removal of the keder.
This also positively affects the drying process after washing. Thus, repairing costs in the keder area can be drastically reduced.
